Kathryn "Kat" Rhynes Graham

Chesterfield, SC

Ms. Kathryn “Kat” Rhynes Graham, age 75, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at McLeod Health – Cheraw with her family by her side. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, March 7, 2025 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, McFarlan, NC officiated by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Ms. Graham was born March 1, 1950 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late James “Jake” Perry Rhynes and Hattie Mae Lowery Rhynes Easterling. She was a retired employee of Stanely Tools and a former employee of Delta Mills. Kat was known for her outgoing personality and ability to talk to anyone. She never met a stranger. Above all, she loved her family dearly and was always there for them.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Graham was also preceded in death by her brother, David “PeeWee” Rhynes; sister, Doris R. Patterson; nephews, Gerald W. “Pistol” Rhynes, Jr., Curtis Nelson, Jr., and Tyler Overstreet.  

Survivors include her son, James Edward (Samantha) Graham of Hartsville, SC; grandson, Bradley Keith Graham of Chesterfield, SC; great granddaughter, Katielynn Graham; brothers, Robert Rhynes (Monnie Bittle) of Chesterfield, SC, Gerald Rhynes of Cheraw, SC, and Roger (Tammy) Rhynes of Cheraw, SC; sisters, Becky R. (Curtis) Nelson of McFarlan, NC, Sarah R. (David) Brock of Cheraw, SC, and Debbie R. Holloway (Johnny Jordan) of Chesterfield, SC; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to caregiver and friend, Doris Lisenby, and to the dedicated staff of Crescent Hospice and McLeod Hospice for the exceptional care provided to Ms. Graham.
