Katie Deese

Mrs. Katie Hancock Deese, age 98, formerly of Mt. Croghan, SC, died Monday, September 19, 2016. Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Pageland, SC by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Deese was born May 27, 1918 in Ruby, SC a daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth Gulledge and Robert Hudson Hancock. She was the last surviving member of her family. Mrs. Deese was a homemaker who loved sewing, reading, watching television, and listening to country music.

In addition to her mother and father, Katie was also preceded in death by her husband, Cleve John Deese, and her son, Charles Robert Deese.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Patsy Elaine Deese, of Kannapolis, NC.
