Ms. Katlin Clark Smith, age 36, entered into rest on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Graveside services will be 4:00 PM Friday, October 15, 2021 at Chesterfield Cemetery by Pastor Randy Bishop and Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home of her father, Dr. Chuck Clark.

Ms. Smith was born July 21, 1985 in Charlotte, NC a daughter of Charles M. “Chuck” Clark and Rhonda Hurst Clark. She was a 2004 graduate of Chesterfield High School and attended Lander University. Katlin worked in the restaurant industry and formerly managed T.W. Boons in Greenwood, SC, and Sardi’s Den in Clemson, SC. From an early age, Katlin attended Chesterfield Baptist Church with her family, and enjoyed recently reconnecting with many friends there.
A young lady with an adventurous and free spirit, Katlin enjoyed traveling with family and friends, zip lining, and experimenting with her culinary skills. Of all things accomplished and enjoyed in her life, none was more important than becoming a mom and spending time with her precious daughter, Kinsley.
Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bill & Sadie Clark; maternal grandparents, Perry & Mary Jean Hurst; and aunt, Amanda Clark Davis.
Survivors include her daughter (whom she referred to as her proudest accomplishment,) Kinsley Rayne Smith, and her father, Demarius Smith of Anderson, SC; mother, Rhonda Hurst Clark of Chesterfield, SC; father, Dr. Chuck (Marsha) Clark of Chesterfield, SC; siblings, Chris Clark of Chesterfield, SC, Grayson Clark of Columbia, SC, Candice Clark (K.C.) Bell of Clemson, SC, Jackson (Jennifer) Eddins, and Bryan (Alicia) Eddins both of Chesterfield, SC; aunt, Mary Clark of Chesterfield, SC; uncle, Richard (Dawn) Clark of Florence, SC; nieces and nephews, Lachlan, Declan, Kylee, Sydney, McIver, and Olivia; God-parents, Penny Vernon, Karen Watson, and Pam Adams; a host of great friends including long-time special friends, Alice Pruitt, Will Curtis, Stephanie Little, Candice Godfrey, and Hope Boatwright.
