Kevin Lisenby

Lancaster, SC ~ Mr. Kevin Glenn Lisenby, age 63, died Sunday, August 6, 2017. He was born December 17, 1953 in Chesterfield, SC, the son of the late James Edward “Bill’ Lisenby and Ruth Gulledge Lisenby and was the husband of Janice Sinclair Snipes. He was a retired truck driver and was the community designated “Mayor of Tradesville”. Kevin loved fishing, cooking, spending time at Santee, and he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and attended New Harvest Freewill Baptist Church.

Mr. Lisenby is survived by his wife, Janice Snipes; two sons, Michael Lisenby and his wife, Chasity and Cory “Tink” Lisenby; three sisters, Billie L. Sikes, Catherine L. Sellers and her husband, David and Sherri L. Linton; two brothers, Mitchell Lisenby and his wife, Doris and Dewitt Lisenby and his wife, Patricia; a granddaughter, Michaela Lisenby; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters of heart: Mildred, Charles, Freda, Judy, Buck, Timmy and Sonya; and numerous close friends.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Lisenby will be 11:00 am Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Hopewell Baptist Church, 15084 Highway 9, Chesterfield, SC by Rev. Wayne Smith and Rev. Phil Wyatt. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church and suggest memorial contributions be made to: Tradesville Community Center, 2245 State Rd S-29-39, Lancaster, SC 29720 or New Harvest Freewill Baptist Church, c/o Rev. Wayne Smith, Post Office Box 473, Fort Lawn, SC 29714 .
