INTERMENT: will follow in the Ruby Cemetery, Ruby, SC

VISITATION: is 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. Curtis was born January 13, 1947 in Florence, SC a son of the late Legett Roland and Lena Tucker Curtis. He was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and attended Florence-Darlington Tec. Larry has been a member of the Miller-Rivers and Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home family for the past 32 years serving bereaved families as a funeral associate. He was a former member of the SC Army National Guard and the Chesterfield Rescue Squad. Larry has been a member of the Chesterfield Fire Department for almost 45 years and was also a member of the Chesterfield Masonic Lodge 220. Mr. Curtis was a faithful member of Ruby Baptist Church where he had served as Deacon, Usher, member of Building and Grounds, and the church Bus Committee. He enjoyed camping, going on cruises, and traveling with family and friends. Larry will be remembered by the staff and children at Ruby Elementary School as well as others, as a "Special Christmas Helper". In addition to his parents, Larry was also preceded in death by a brother, Julian Curtis.

2 Grandchildren: Michael (Brianna Lee) Hannah and Rayleigh Wallace
2 Great Grandchildren: Braylan Hannah and McKenlee Hannah
Also many Nieces and Nephews that he loved dearly
