Larry Mitchell Jenkins

Mr. Larry Mitchell Jenkins, age 71, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 12 O’clock PM, Thursday March 30, 2023 at Oak Grove Methodist Church in Wallace, SC by Rev. Sweet Jenkins and Rev. Thomas Guinn, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the grave.

Mr. Jenkins was born February 19, 1952 in Bennettsville, SC a son of the late Curtis and Agnes Terry Jenkins. Larry was an avid fisherman and enjoyed singing and listening to gospel and oldies music. A jokester at heart, he loved to make people laugh and always had a joke to tell. Larry enjoyed watching westerns, NASCAR, and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jenkins was also preceded in death by his sister; Janice J. Evans; and brother in law, David Evans.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Janice G. Jenkins of the home; daughter, Candace (Anthony) Smith of Wallace, SC; grandson, Nathan Smith; niece, Kristy (Jason) Melton of Ruby, SC; nephew, Tony (Sandy) Evans of Ruby, SC; great-nephew, Trevor Melton of Ruby, SC.
