Larry W. Thurman

Jefferson, SC

          Mr. Larry W. Thurman, age 64, entered into rest on Monday, March 6, 2023 at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church by Dr. Michael Taylor with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church.

          Mr. Thurman was born January 5, 1959 in Monroe, NC a son of Doris Eddins Thurman and the late Bobby B. Thurman. He was a former employee of Chesterfield County Public Works and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Larry was a jack of all trades who enjoyed “tinkering” on anything. He also enjoyed playing his guitar and riding his motorcycle.

          In addition to his father, Mr. Thurman was also preceded in death by his sister, Peggy McIntyre.

          Survivors include his wife, Rena B. Thurman; son, Larry Ryan (Samantha) Thurman of Conway, SC; mother, Doris E. Thurman of Jefferson, SC; siblings, Barbara “Bootsie” Thurman of Chesterfield, SC, Bobby “Butch” (Tracey) Thurman, Jr. of Mt. Croghan, SC, Millie (Danny) Joplin of Mt. Croghan, SC, and Timothy “Tim” Thomas Thurman of Jefferson, SC; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
