Larry D. "Pete" Montgomery

Mr. Larry D. “Pete” Montgomery, age 82, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 21, 2020. Graveside services will be 4:00 PM Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Grace and Mercy Worship Center Cemetery (formerly Bethesda United Methodist Church) by Rev. Grady Baskins. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Montgomery was born September 13, 1938 in Adel, GA a son of the late Luther Lee Montgomery, Sr. and Leila May Hewett Montgomery. He was in construction all of his working life and was the owner and operator of Pete’s Roofing. Pete was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. He enjoyed collecting guns and searching for a deal on one.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Montgomery was also preceded in death by his wives, Mildred “Mickey” Montgomery, and Florence Montgomery; sisters, Eva Mae Montgomery, Lou Vennie Montgomery, and Annie V. Montgomery; brothers, Frank Emory Montgomery, Luther Lee Montgomery, Jr., and Harvey S. Montgomery.

Survivors include his daughters, Sheila (Daryl) Monk of Graceville, FL, and Sonya (Gregory) Phelps of Moultrie, GA; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
