 Ms. LaVerne Ione “Lee” Moore, entered into rest on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the age of 83. The family will host a celebration of life gathering on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the home of her son, Dwayne Moore (638 Hurst Cemetery Lane, Chesterfield, SC 29709) between the hours of 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM. The family requests that everyone dress casually.

 

 

 Ms. Moore was born June, 16, 1941 in Steele, North Dakota, a daughter of the late John DeWall and Norma Hanson. “Lee”, as she was affectionally known to by many, was a claims adjuster for over 30 years with Colonial Life Insurance Company. She enjoyed making crafts and sewing blankets and quilts, as well as baking and also decorating. She was a avid bird watcher as well as adored her cats. LaVerne was known for her easy going and enjoyable personality, which was displayed through her love for dancing and traveling.

 

 

 Survivors include her son, Dwayne (June) Moore of Chesterfield, SC; daughter, Debbie Pope of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Jason (Megan) Cothern, Jordan (Kayla) Cothern, Joshua Cothern all of Columbia, SC; Brandy Moore of Raleigh, NC, Kirsty Fuller of Mandan, ND; great-grandchildren, Drew, Luke, Kairi, Saria.
