Linda Ellen Baker Lewis

Cheraw, SC

    Mrs. Linda Ellen Baker Lewis entered into rest on Monday, July 29, 2024 at the age of 81. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Westfield Creek Baptist Church by Pastor Jason Pope, Pastor Doug Anderson, and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the White Oak Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the service at the church; and other times at Mrs. Linda's home. 

     Mrs. Lewis was born November 16, 1942 in Red Springs, NC a daughter of the late Johnny Coit and Mary Catherine Woodward Baker. Linda enjoyed sewing and worked many years in the textile industry before retiring from INA Bearing. She was a faithful member of Westfield Creek Baptist Church for over 23 years. Mrs. Lewis was strong in her faith and had a personal relationship with her Lord and Savior. Linda was known as the "Candy Lady" at church and enjoyed spoiling all the children. Mrs. Lewis considered teaching her family about Jesus to be her greatest achievement in life. She brought a smile to everyone she met her and her sense of humor could light up a room. Mrs. Linda enjoyed nature and one of her favorite pastimes was feeding and watching birds.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lewis was also preceded in death by her husband, Bonnie Lewis; infant son, Darrell Wayne Lewis; and brother-in-law, Ernest Croxton.

     Survivors include her children, Bonnie (Jeff) Davis of Chesterfield, SC, Crystal (John) Cutchin of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Lauren (Matt) Parker, Laura C. (Dustin) Gooden, Blake (Paige) Rogers, Jeffrey (Taylor) Davis, JT (Langley) Cutchin, Kessler Cutchin, Kamlyn Cutchin; great-grandchildren, Harrison Gooden, Lincoln Gooden, Anna Blythe Gooden, Braelyn Rogers, Charles Laylon Parker, Levi Rogers, Tanner Rogers, Bryson Rogers, Corbett Cutchin, Boone Cutchin, Camden Cutchin; sister, Estelle Baker Croxton; niece, Candice (Mike) Yates; great-nieces, Brooke Yates, Meghan Yates, godson, Emerson White; and a host of extended family members and friends.
