Linda Gibson Perry

Mrs. Linda Gibson Perry, age 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, 15, 2024. A private family graveside service will be conducted at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery in Ruby, SC.

Born on December 23, 1940, in Chesterfield, SC, Linda was the daughter of the late Van Burren “Bill” and Vera Rushing Gibson. She graduated from Pageland High School and earned her degree in Business Administration from Coker College. Linda dedicated her professional life to INA Bearing, retiring after many years of service as an Executive Assistant.

A devoted member of Calvary Church of Charlotte, NC, Linda actively participated in various ministries, including the food pantry and the "Martha Ministry." She was also a valued member of the Women of the World Sunday school class. In her personal life, Linda had a passion for collecting art, sewing, gardening, and cooking. She also cherished her cats and enjoyed playing Bridge in her leisure time.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hildreth, and her aunt, Naomi Gibson Snipes.

She is survived by her children, English Perry Griggs and her husband Mitch of Davidson, NC, and Bill Perry (Christie Moore) of Cheraw, SC; her grandchildren, Camden Griggs of Dallas, TX, Collin Griggs of Charleston, SC, and Landon Perry of Chesterfield, SC; and her sister of the heart, Edith Blydenburgh of Matthews, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary Church, 5801 Pineville–Matthews Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28226, or to a charity of choice.
