Mrs. Linda Helms Mullis
Affectionately known as “Megah”
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, Megah, whose love, laughter, and generosity touched all who knew her. Megah passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever live in our hearts.
Megah was a woman of extraordinary spirit, known for her boundless love for her family and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. She adored shopping for and with her grandchildren, always ensuring they had more than she ever did. She took immense pride in attending their events, cheering them on, and being their biggest supporter as they grew.
With a gift for conversation, Megah could talk to anyone, and her warmth and humor made her a friend to all. She loved her cars, her faithful dachshund Roxy, and the joy of cooking Sunday dinners for her family after church. Those meals were more than just food—they were gatherings filled with laughter, storytelling, and countless treasured moments.
Megah also found joy and camaraderie in her work at Conbraco, where she shared many funny conversations with her coworkers who became like extended family to her.
Her life was a testament to love, kindness, and devotion to those she held dear. Megah’s family and friends will always remember her as the heart of every gathering, a loving presence who filled the room with warmth and joy.
She is deeply missed by her family, including her children, grandchildren, and countless friends whose lives she touched. Though she has left this earthly home, the lessons she taught and the love she shared will remain with us forever.
In addition to her parents, Megah was also preceded in death by all of her siblings, Carroll Helms, Dennis Helms, JoAnn Haigler, and Barbara Jean Matthews; and an infant daughter, Bethany Lynn Mullis.
Those remaining to cherish her beautiful memory include her beloved husband of 59 years, Frank Mullis of the home; son, Shane Mullis and wife, Christy of Jefferson, SC; daughter, Lori Guin and husband, Jeff of Pageland, SC; grandchildren, Taylor Vanderlip and wife, Emily of Gaffney, SC, Brittany Kiker and husband, Dustin of Monroe, NC, Madison Vanderlip of Chesnee, SC, and Grant Mullis of Jefferson, SC; great grandchildren, Malia, Rhett, and Deacon Vanderlip, Graham and Hudson Kiker; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the administration and staff of Hearts and Hands II and Autumn Care of Marshville for the exceptional love and support they provided to Megah and her family during this time.
A celebration of Megah’s life will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Jefferson Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Scott Wilson and Dr. Ronnie Simpson. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Sunday, prior to the service at the church. A private service of committal will take place in the Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Megah’s memory by spending time with your loved ones, sharing a meal, or simply having a heartfelt conversation—things she treasured most.
Rest in peace, Megah. Your love and light will never fade.
