Linda Tucker Phillips, 81, of Hamlet, passed away at her home on March 31, 2025.

She was born June 13, 1943, in Chesterfield, SC, daughter of the late Jasper and Odell Curtis Tucker.

Linda was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hamlet. She is remembered as a productive, caring part of the community, who was all about family. She was a nurse for more than 40 years and lived her life as a caregiver. Her family recalls her love for the mountains.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David “Ted” Eugene Phillips, Jr.; brother, Sam Tucker; sister, Mickey Rivers; and brother-in-law, Ed Rivers.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Kristie Long (Kenneth) of Rockingham and David Eugene Phillips III of Raleigh; grandchildren, Justin and Austin Long, Rachel, Abby, and Megan Phillips; brother, Dean Tucker of Chesterfield, SC; sister-in-law, Idette Tucker of Florence, SC.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 12:00-1:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, Hamlet.

The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Bill Monroe officiating. Burial will follow at David’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Chesterfield, SC.
