HISTORY: Mrs. Whitaker was born August 8, 1941 in Monroe, NC a daughter of the late Lee Carter and Mamie Carter Threadgill. She was a retired employee of Grits and Groceries. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, James Olin Whitaker; and by her brother, William Carter.
