Serenity was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Jennifer Schaff; and paternal grandfather, Richard Melton, Sr.

Survivors include her parents, Richard and Katherine Shaff Melton; brother, Jayden Melton; paternal grandmother, Darlene (Ricky) Teal of Patrick, SC; and maternal grandfather, Floyd Shaff of Patrick, SC.
