Lloyd Tracy Rainwater

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Lloyd Tracy Rainwater, age 73, of Rockingham, NC. Lloyd passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025.

Born to Tracy Rainwater and Eleanor Ramsey Altman, Lloyd was a proud Vietnam veteran who honorably served in the United States Air Force from September 3, 1970, to April 2, 1974. Beyond his service, he was a dedicated bail bondsman and an avid runner, embodying perseverance and passion in all aspects of life.

Above all, Lloyd was a devoted father to his two daughters, Tracy and Leigh, who were the center of his world. His kindness, gentle heart, and unwavering love for his family were evident to all who knew him. In his final months, he found immense joy in moving closer to his daughters and creating cherished memories with his grandchildren.

Lloyd is survived by his beloved daughters, Tracy Rainwater Hatcher (Jonathan) and Patricia Leigh Rainwater Campbell (Brian); his four sisters, Sandra Rainwater Spry (Carl), Laura Turner Core (Jim), Kathy Rainwater Hazelton (Tom), Charlene Altman; his brother, Steve Rainwater (Carol); and his treasured grandchildren, Kara Faith Lundy, Timothy Lane Lundy, Liam Trace Lundy, Cash Easton Campbell, and Gray Maddox Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Military honors will be rendered on the front lawn of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 30, 2025 prior to a visitation to honor Lloyd’s life.

Lloyd will be remembered for his compassion, resilience, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be profoundly missed.
