Mr. Lonnie “Wayne” Weaver, age 70, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Funeral services will be 12:00 O’clock PM Friday, October 8, 2021 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Old St. David’s cemetery. The family will greet friends from 11:00-12:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home and at other time at the home of Terry Wayne at 212 Marion St, Cheraw, SC.

Due to COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. We also ask all guests and family members attending visitations and services to please continue social distancing and face coverings are strongly encouraged.

Mr. Weaver was born August 23, 1951 in Lexington, NC a son of the late John Raymond and Katie McBride Weaver. Wayne was a retired barber with over 40 years of service. He will be remembered as a giving person who would help anyone that was in need. Wayne loved his family wholeheartedly and enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed playing guitar, singing, traveling and playing poker.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Weaver was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Mary Louise “Sue” Weaver and his brothers; Johnny Weaver, Ronnie Weaver, and Monty Weaver.

Survivors include his son; Terry Wayne (Elaine Quick) Weaver of Cheraw, SC; daughter of the heart, niece, and caregiver, Michelle (Vincent James) Griggs of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Seth Hatcher and Conner Hatcher; sister, Wanda Shaw of Lexington, NC; sister-in-law, Sarah (Herbert) Loflin of Cheraw, SC;  great nieces, Nikki (Devin Tolson) Griggs, Megan (Justin) McDowell; great-nephew, Sam Loflin; great-great-niece, Sadie McDowell; great-great-nephew, Kolby McDowell; and special friend James “Lanky” Dixon and Barbara Funderburk.
