Lora Irene Crawley

Mrs. Lora Irene Crawley, age 86, entered into rest on Monday, October 16, 2023.  A graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Ruby Cemetery by Pastor Ronald Thurman.  Family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Crawley was born April 11, 1937 in Chesterfield County, SC.  a daughter of the late Cecil Pete Davidson and Jennie Mae Sellers Davidson. She was a member of Ruby Baptist Church.  She looked forward to family trips and time spent with her grandchildren and her new granddog “Sport”.  Mrs. Crawley had a great love for rescuing dogs throughout the years.

Mrs. Crawley was a very loving and devoted wife for 65 years.  She will be fondly remembered as a supportive grandmother of her grandchildren’s goals and achievements.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crawley was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Douglas “Doug” Crawley.

Survivors include her son, James Rodney (Mary Hannah) Crawley of Cheraw, S.C.; grandchildren, Dr. Nancy Ann Crawley of Charleston, S.C., and Captain Daniel Blake Crawley USMC (Madison) of San Diego, California; also nieces, nephews, and cousins.
