FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel
INTERMENT: will follow in the Chesterfield Cemetery
VISITATION: will be 1:00 - 2:00 PM, Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home
HISTORY: Mrs. Gulledge was born May 18, 1919 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Thomas Levi and Lela Mae Rivers Melton. She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and a retired employee of Home Federal Savings and Loan in Rock Hill, SC. Louise was also employed by the Chesterfield County Council on Aging, and the Chesterfield County DSS. She was an active member of the National Federation of the Blind on the local, state, and national level. She was also a former member of the Chesterfield Civic Club, Chesterfield County Historical Society, and the Eastern Star. Louise was a faithful member of the Chesterfield Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Choir, and the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Gulledge; 6 brothers, James H., Lathan T., William F. "Bill", Murdice L., Robert C., and Jerry F. Melton; and by 2 sisters, Bessie M. Oliver, and Essie M. Sellers.

4 Sisters-in-law: Anna Melton of Chesterfield, SC, Dottie Melton of Greensboro, NC, Rose Melton of Seneca Falls, NY, and Jo Melton of Davidson, NC
