DECEASED: Mrs. Louise Hammond Gulledge, age 87, died Monday, October 8, 2007.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 13, 2007, at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel.

VISITATION: 10:00 - 11:00 AM Saturday prior to the service at the Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Chesterfield Cemetery

HISTORY: Mrs. Gulledge was born June 21, 1920, in Chesterfield, SC, a daughter of the late Absalom "Bub" and Lissie White Hammond.. She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and attended one year at Winthrop College. In 1943, she married the late William P. Gulledge. They moved to Washington, DC in 1950, where Mr. Gulledge worked as an attorney for the United States Senate and a Federal agency. Mrs. Gulledge lived in northern Virginia for over 50 years, but more recently in a retirement community in Springfield, VA. She was a member of Ravensworth Baptist Church. Louise was preceded in death by a 2 brothers, Jack Hammond and Wilbur Hammond.

1 Son: William Gulledge, Jr. and wife Nadine of Herndon, VA

1 Daughter: Janice Gulledge and husband Steve Puterbaugh of Springfield, VA

1 Grandson: Ryan Gulledge of Herndon, VA

1 Brother: Fay Hammond of Columbia, SC

1 Sister: Emma Rae Eskridge of Cheraw, SC
