Mrs. Louise Rayfield Nichols, age 74, entered into rest on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, April 16, 2017 at First Freewill Baptist Church by Pastor Melvin Keziah and Rev. Rodney Nicholson. The service of committal will be private. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Mrs. Nichols was born August 18, 1942 in Pageland, SC a daughter of the late Minor and Susie Knight Laney. She was a retired employee of Conbraco Industries. Following her retirement, Louise went to work at Marathon Food Plaza where she greeted everyone with a smile and enjoyed talking to her friends and customers. Her hobbies included working in her flowers and keeping a neat yard. Mrs. Nichols was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church and had a caregiver’s heart. She will be remembered for willingness to help anyone.
In addition to her parents, Louise was also preceded in death by 2 husbands, Tommy Rayfield and Louie Nichols; 2 children, Jimmy Rayfield and Kim Evans; brothers, Pete, William, Edward, and Richard Laney; sisters, Lessie Hargett, Katherine Outen, and Joann West.
Survivors include her children, Robbie (Wanda) Rayfield of Monroe, NC, Patricia Wallace, and Lisa Hudson both of Lancaster, SC; 6 grandchildren, Tripp, Tracy, Matt, Tonya, Terri, and Candi; 11 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Roy (Betty) Laney of Kershaw, SC, and Bill Laney of Lancaster, SC; 2 sisters, Frances Stevens and Carolyn Oliver both of Pageland, SC; also numerous nieces and nephews.
