Louise Boan Crowley

Mrs. Mildred Louise Boan Crowley, age 90, entered into rest on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at her home. Graveside services will be 3:30 PM Monday, May 18, 2020 at Grace and Mercy Worship Center Cemetery (Old Bethesda UMC Cemetery) by Pastor William Lewis and Pastor Michael Davis. A drive-by visitation will be held between 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Monday, May 18, 2020 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home. The family will be outdoors to speak to anyone who wishes to pay their respects in the parking lot.

Mrs. Crowley was born August 2, 1929 in Chesterfield County, SC the daughter of the late Lula Boan Wallace. She was a life-long member of Bethesda United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Crowley spent much of her time in God’s word and she would often discuss the scriptures with others. Louise served the Lord by hosting a prayer meeting in her home every Thursday night. Mrs. Crowley was a loving homemaker and caregiver to her family. Louise enjoyed spending time outdoors especially when tending to her garden. She was known for her green-thumb and her love of flowers. Louise cared for people and animals especially her beloved dog “Lady”.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Crowley was also preceded in death by husband, Elvie R. Crowley; son, Billy Crowley; daughter, Judy Crowley; and brother, Jerry Wallace.

Survivors include her daughters, Peggy Morton of Patrick, SC, and Cora Lee Crowley of Pageland, SC; son, Ricky (Gale) Crowley of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Joseph (Teresa) Morton, Teresa (Ricky) Poston, Andy (Heather) Harvell, and Amanda Crowley; great-grandchildren, Collin Morton, Tyler Morton, Kaitlyn Donahue, Monica Donahue, Madison Smith, Riley Harvell, Harley Harvell; grandchildren of the heart, Timothy Crowley, and Phillip Crowley.
