Mrs. Lucille Watson Winecoff, age 91, entered into rest on Friday, September 21, 2018 at her home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 24, 2018 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church by Rev. Marty Nation and Mike Orr with the eulogy being delivered by her son, Anthony “Tony” Winecoff. The burial service will follow in the Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Winecoff was born August 4, 1927 in Ruby, SC a daughter of the late Lonnie Anderson and Minerva Purvis Watson. Following her graduation from Ruby High School, Lucille moved to Kannapolis, NC to work at Cannon Mills and it was there she met the love of her life, the late Glenn Alexander Winecoff and enjoyed 42 years of marriage. Upon returning to South Carolina, Lucille worked with Sacony and Weller Industries and her passion was being a homemaker.

Mrs. Winecoff was a dedicated and faithful member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where she served on various committees throughout the years and was revered as a Godly prayer warrior. Her family was of utmost importance to her, and she enjoyed time spent with her sisters and their family. Lucille, Alieth, and Vinelle was more than sisters, and the bond they shared earned them the beloved title of “The Golden Girls”.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by her sisters, Vinelle Hancock, Fraulien Sutton, and Alieth Bruner; and brothers, Johnny Watson, L.A. Watson, and Wilbert Bruton.

Survivors include son, Anthony (Nina Toumanoff) Winecoff of Ojai, CA; daughter, Monica Winecoff (Jimmy) Teal of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Megan, Duncan, Michael, Stuart, Caroline, and Haley; great grandchildren, Lucius, Lucy, Riley, and June Anthony; special friend, Dewey Hurst; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
