Lucy Hinson Knight

Wallace, SC

          Mrs. Lucy Hinson Knight, age 85, entered into rest on Monday, February 13, 2023. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Ghio Church of God of Prophecy by Pastor David Bullard with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the church prior to the service on Friday.

          Mrs. Knight was born March 19, 1937 in Gibson, NC a daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Ellen Troublefield Hinson. She was a lifelong member of Ghio Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Knight was an avid reader and frequent visitor of the library. When she wasn’t reading, Lucy enjoyed cross stitching and gardening.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Knight was also preceded in death by her husband, Brazzle Knight; daughter, Robin Chavis; 5 siblings; and numerous half siblings.

          Survivors include her children, Sandra (Billy Joe) Quick of Wallace, SC, Debra (Roy) Polson of Wallace, SC, Rickie Knight of Wallace, SC, Tyla (Tony) Quick of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Chris (Toni) Spivey of Cheraw, SC, Courtney (Matthew) Meers of Winston-Salem, NC, Joe (Jessica) Quick of Florence, SC, Brooke Quick of Wallace, SC, Jordan (Catie) Heffner of Wallace, SC, Donnie (Makayla Ricketts) Chavis of Cheraw, SC; Bryan (Renata) Polson and Dannielle (Brian) Howle; great grandchildren, Reagan, Abigail, Etta, Maverick, Savannah, Hayes, Holden, Harper, JJ, Sammie, Chelsea, Nick, and Pete; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
