Lyde E. Rollins Sr.

Mr. Lyde E. Rollins, Sr., age 80, entered into rest on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the home of his daughter. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 13, 2021 at Jefferson Cemetery by Pastor Bobby Cato, Pastor David Christopher, and Kevin Middleton. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Rollins was born September 9, 1941 in Lancaster, SC a son of the late Francis Vernon and Louise Couch Bowers. He served in the SC Army National Guard and was a member of Jefferson United Methodist Church. Lyde was a retired employee of Tucker Lumber Company and a former supervisor with Caro-Knit. An avid golfer, Mr. Rollins enjoyed playing all sports, especially tennis and bowling, and also enjoyed watching a good movie.

In addition to his parents, Lyde was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Belvia Wright Rollins; and brother, Clarence James Rollins, Jr.

Survivors include his daughter, Tracy Jenkins of Pageland, SC; son, Lyde Rollins, Jr. of Jefferson, SC; grandchildren, Krystal Smith (Josh) Henke of Myrtle Beach, SC, Brittlea Rollins of Jefferson, SC, and Heather Owens of Pageland, SC; sister, Shelby Edwards of Jefferson, SC.
