Mrs. Lynda Faye Cassidy, age 73, entered into rest on Monday, April 10, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Lower Macedonia Baptist Church by Dr. Lindsey Powell and Phillip Caulder Jr. with burial to follow in the church cemetery, Lower Macedonia Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Cassidy was born Feb 13, 1944 in Columbia, SC a daughter of the late Ryan and Donnie May Hunt Derrick. She was a child care provider, having cared for children in her home and was retired after 20 years of service at Faith Christian Academy. Lynda was a lifelong member of Lower Macedonia Baptist Church. She loved children, flowers, and gardening.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Roger Cassidy, 2 sons, Kenny (Carolyn) Cassidy of Chesterfield, SC, and Michael (Vivian) Cassidy of Cheraw SC; daughter, LaDonna (Ricky) Stafford of Chesterfield SC; a brother, Jimmy Green of Wallace SC; sisters, Carolyn Crowley of Chesterfield SC, Bobbie Lewis of Myrtle Beach SC, and Mary Lee Wilks of Lamar SC; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
