Mrs. Lynn Gulledge Beaver, age 64, entered into rest on Sunday, June 7, 2020 with her family by her side. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor David Bessinger and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Beaver was born December 4, 1955 in Wadesboro, NC a daughter of the late Tommie Gulledge, Jr. and Eleanor Lear Gulledge. She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School Class of 1974 and attained her Bachelor’s degree from Winthrop College. Lynn furthered her education by attaining her Master’s of Education from the University of South Carolina, and later earned her degree as an Educational Specialist from Winthrop University. Mrs. Beaver taught at Ruby Elementary School her entire 29-year career. During that time, she also taught Adult Education in the evenings. Her passion was teaching and helping students become the best they could be. She, along with her two sisters, were co-owners of the Carolina Restaurant. Mrs. Beaver was a member of Chesterfield Presbyterian Church.

A lady who had an eye for décor, Lynn was an avid collector of antiques and collectibles. In her earlier years, she enjoyed crafting and creating ceramics. Her hobbies included working in her flower gardens, watching mystery shows on television, and always looking for a new recipe in her cookbook. Of things most enjoyed, time spent with her family was of utmost importance.

In addition to her parents, Lynn was also preceded in death by her nephews, Kent Demby and Austin Davis; and mother-in-law, Dorothy Beaver.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Dan Beaver of the home; daughter, Stacy Lynn (Kipp Tyner) Beaver; grandchildren, Kent Beaver, and Klaire Tyner; sisters, DeLores Gulledge (Robert) Brigman, and Cynthia Gulledge (Mitchell) Davis; nephews, Tommie (Donna) Davis, Gregg (Angela) Demby all of Chesterfield, SC, and Davis (Nicole) Price of Lugoff, SC; great nieces, Caroline Davis (Holt) Eddins, Taylor Demby, and Holli Demby; great nephew, Trace Davis all of Chesterfield, SC; daughter of the heart, Michelle Joplin of Mt. Croghan, SC; sister of the heart, Kathy Campbell of Chesterfield, SC; father-in-law, Eugene Beaver; sister-in-law, Jane (Phillip) Tedder both of Hartsville, SC; and aunts, Betty Burr, and Sara Lear both of Chesterfield, SC.
