HISTORY: Mrs. Thurman was born June 14, 1927 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late John Willie "Bill" Pegues and Mary Belle "May Belle" Sellers Pegues. Mrs. Thurman worked in the textile industry for over 40 years retiring from Cheraw Apparel in 1999. Margaret was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and loved working in VBS. She enjoyed working in her yard and growing pretty flowers. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband John Thomas "Buddy" Thurman and by her sisters, Alma Hunt and Mildred Kissiah.
