Mr. Mark E. Preuss, age 54, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Graveside services will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church Cemetery, 133 Potter Road, Lancaster, SC by Pastor Dr. Jessie Adams and Brent Taylor.

Friends may pay their respects from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, 318 E. Main Street, Chesterfield, SC and other times at the home of his daughter, Mary Preuss.

Mr. Preuss was born May 18, 1965 in Lancaster, SC a son of the late John Robert Preuss, Sr. and Frances Arant Estridge. He was a diesel mechanic formerly employed with Tucker Lumber Company and Oldcastle Lawn & Garden (formerly Mickey Plyler Trucking) of Pageland, SC for many years. An avid racing fan, Mark enjoyed drag racing, NASCAR, and anything that would drive fast including his Harley. He lived life to the fullest and was always keeping you laughing. Of all things he enjoyed in his life, his proudest accomplishment was his “baby-girl,” Mary.

In addition to his parents, Mark was also preceded in death by his brother, Johnny R. Preuss, Jr.

Survivors include his beloved daughter, Mary Preuss and fiance, Devin Lowery of Kershaw, SC; and soon to be arriving first grandbaby, Lincoln Nash Lowery; sister, Kay (Pat) Rumsey of Lancaster, SC; sister-in-law, Terry Cauthen of Lancaster, SC; and nieces and nephews.
