Martha "Louise" Talbert Hill

 Mrs. Martha “Louise” Talbert Hill, age 85, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, November 22, 2024 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Jeff Hart and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home. 

 Mrs. Hill was born August 25, 1939 in Darlington, SC a daughter of the late Walter Jerome and Nora Belle Talbert. She was a loving wife to James Hill and mother to four sons. Louise was a retired employee of the Schaeffler group. She always enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great grandchild and her many friends and loved ones. A long-time member of St. John Freewill Baptist Church, Louise put her trust in the Lord and will be missed dearly. She enjoyed yard work, gardening, reading, crocheting, and most importantly watching the Price is Right daily.

 Louise is preceded in death by her late husband, James Evans Hill; oldest son, Richard Dwight Hill; along with sisters, Edith Shoemake, Helen McLain, Jennie Mae Dugger, and Doris Scott. 

 Survivors include her sons, Jerry Hill and wife, Kelli of Charleston, SC, Wendell Hill and wife, Frankie of Chesterfield, SC, and Dale Hill of Brevard, NC; grandchildren, Garrett Hill of Chesterfield, SC, Grant Hill of Cheraw, SC, Graci Hill of Columbia, SC, Olivia Hill of Charleston, SC, Angie Ludwig of Columbia, SC, Ross Hill of Spartanburg, SC, and Faith Hill of NC; great grandchild, Sylas Hill; sisters, Margaret Teal, and Faye (Bradley) Eddins both of Chesterfield, SC, and Carolyn (Donald) Sellers of Ruby, SC; sisters of the heart, Bonnie Tolson, and Lesa Weber both of Patrick, SC; in addition to a host of loving nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

 Memorials may be made to a cancer society of one’s choice.
