HISTORY: Ms. Pegues was born November 14, 1940 in St. Louis, MO a daughter of the late Josephine Hyatt and Robert Jackson. She was the step-daughter of Dempsey Hyatt. Martha was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness on April 22, 1973. She was a homemaker. Martha was a lover of horses and nature. She enjoyed hiking in the woods. Martha loved to spend time reading and doing word puzzles. She was the eldest of 4 children.

5 Children: James Paxton Pegues of Cheraw, SC, Michael Hunter Pegues of Greer, SC, Rufus Keitt Pegues of Lexington, SC, Mark McCulloch Pegues of Rock Hill, SC, and Daniel Gray Pegues of Charleston, SC
Grandchildren: Lanier, Marcellus, Josephine, Spencer, Rachel, Jacob, Keller, Oliver
1 Sister: Josephine Robbin Jennings
2 Brothers: Thomas Erasmus Hyatt and Andrew Lewis Hunter Hyatt
