FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Shiloh United Methodist Church

INTERMENT WITH MILITARY HONORS: will follow in the church cemetery

VISITATION: will be 4:00 - 6:00 PM, Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the funeral home

HISTORY: Mr. Johnson was born February 23, 1934 in Red Wing, MN a son of the late Carl and Nannie Swanson Johnson. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War and was a retired Staff Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force, having received the Commendation Medal. Marvin was also a retired employee of Ina Bearing. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. Marvin enjoyed bowling, riding his scooter, and was active with the Council on Aging. In addition to his parents, Marvin was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Shaw Johnson and his two sisters, Marion Gruenwald and Jeanette Neidercorn.

Daughter and Son-in-law: Patti Freeman and William Peele of Chesterfield, SC
3 Grandchildren: Pamela Brock of Ashtabula, OH, Jonathan Brock of Dyess AFB, Abilene TX, and Jamie Peele of Chesterfield, SC
