Mary Charles Gulledge

Cheraw, SC

Mrs. Mary Charles Lewis Gulledge, age 83, entered into rest on Thursday, December 26, 2024. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 30, 2024 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mary Charles was born July 12, 1941 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Clyde and Willie Odom Lewis. She was the life of the party and could often be found singing as she went throughout her day. Mary Charles enjoyed taking trips, especially to the beach. She leaves behind many special memories with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gulledge was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dean Gulledge; sisters, Barbara Ann Lewis and Willie Faye Hilliard, along with her brother, Sandy Lewis. 

Survivors include her sisters, Dorothy “Moss” Teal, Ida Mae Sessoms and Carolyn (Steve) Zeigler all of Cheraw, SC; brother-in-law, Kenny Gulledge of Chesterfield, SC; numerous nieces and nephews, including special niece, Kristie Zeigler of Cheraw, SC; in addition to numerous great nieces and nephews, and her four legged companion, “Precious”.
