Mary "Libby" Hannah Rivers

Chesterfield, SC

Mrs. Mary "Libby" Hannah Rivers, age 78, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday morning, October 27, 2024. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Hank Griffin with burial to follow in the Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM prior to the service.

Mrs. Libby was born on December 25, 1945 in Concord, North Carolina. A daughter of the late James and Geneva Abernathy. Mrs. Rivers was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School and a faithful member of Oakland Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Chesterfield Manufacturing. Mrs. Libby enjoyed shopping, traveling and most of all spending time with her family. She especially loved her grandchildren and was affectionally known by them as  "Nana" . She found enjoyment by serving, whether around the church or by baking cakes for family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rivers was preceded in death by her first husband, J.C. Hannah.

Survivors include her husband, C.B. Rivers of the home; son, Billy (Sherri) Hannah of Concord, NC; step-sons, Mike Rivers, Carrol Rivers both of Chesterfield, SC; brother, Edward (Opal) Abernathy of Kannapolis, NC; grandchildren, Elysabeth, Nataani, and Alexandra all of Concord, NC; step-grandchildren, Micheal (Lindsey) Rivers, Shannon (Stephanie) Rivers, Ashley (Justin) Neel; nephews, Mark Abernathy, Jamey Abernathy, Wesley Abernathy.
