Mrs. Mary Elizabeth McClain, age 69, entered into rest on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Taxahaw Baptist Church by Pastor Steven Sullivan with burial to follow in the McClain Family Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Tuesday, prior to the service in the fellowship hall of Taxahaw Baptist Church, 1734 Overbrook Road, Kershaw, SC.

Mrs. McClain was born May 16, 1948 in Lancaster, SC a daughter of the late Joseph and Iva Lee Carnes Faile. She was a retired employee of Melton Manufacturing of Jefferson, SC. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, and would often travel to the go kart tracks supporting her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mary was reunited with her great – grandchild, Aaron McClain; and sister, Deborah Faile Hilton that preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Richard McClain of the home; 4 children, Sheila (Steven Williams) McClain of Matthews, NC, Sherry (Sonny) Brooks, Jamie (Cammie Lou) McClain, and Brandon (Ashley) McClain all of Jefferson, SC; grandchildren, Andrew (Colby) Aldridge, Joel (Chelsea) Aldridge both of Monroe, NC, Cody Aldridge of Jefferson, SC, Jonah Aldridge, Jacob Aldridge, Joshua Aldridge all of Matthews, NC, Blake McClain, Emma Brooks both of Jefferson, SC, Jamie Dale McClain of Pageland, SC, Mitchell (Candice) McClain of Matthews, NC, Nicholas McClain and Connor McClain both of Jefferson, SC; great-grandchildren, Kash Aldridge, Heaven McClain, Mason Rice, and soon to be arriving, Jett Aldridge; siblings, Bill (Debbie) Faile, Joann (Luke) Lucas, Pete (Candy) Faile, and Kaye (Geoff) Newsome all of Lancaster, SC; also numerous nieces and nephews.
