Mrs. Mary Alice Williams, age 71, entered into rest on Saturday, February 24, 2018. Graveside Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery and at other times at the home.

Mrs. Williams was born April 14, 1946 in Bennettsville, SC a daughter of the late Belvin and Catherine Herndon Cope. She was a former employee of Cheraw Yarn Mills and attended Douglas Mill Baptist Church. She enjoyed housekeeping, gardening, and cooking.

In addition to her parents, Mary Alice was also preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Cope; sister, Virginia Pruitt; and son, Michael Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, Jr. Williams of Ruby, SC; step-sons, Terry (Tammy) Williams of Ruby, SC, and Tommy (Jenny) Williams of Kannapolis, NC; 6 grandchildren, Tommy (Brittany) Williams, Brittany (Kendell) Wingler, and Abigail Williams all of Kannapolis, NC, Cole Webster, Hunter Williams, and Christian Williams all of Ruby, SC; brother, James Harold (Judy) Cope of San Antonio, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
