Mary Ruth Melton Curlee

Mrs. Mary Ruth Melton Curlee, age 80, entered into rest on Monday, January 31, 2022. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Friday, February 4, 2022 at Hopewell Baptist Church by the Honorable Reverend Richie Yow and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Curlee was born March 8, 1941 in Winnsboro, SC a daughter of the late Roy and Volena Boon Melton. She was a retiree of Mar Mac Industries in McBee, SC. Mrs. Mary was an active member of Hopewell Baptist Church where she served for many years as pianist and organist, and on various other committees. In her free time, Mary also enjoyed sewing.

In addition to Mrs. Curlee’s parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. Curlee; son, David E. Curlee, as well as numerous siblings.

Survivors include her daughter, Anita (Gene) Oliver of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Matthew Oliver, Sarah Oliver both of Chesterfield, SC; sister-in-law, Fannie (Charles) Brock of Wingate, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
