FUNERAL SERVICE: 4:00 PM, Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Shiloh United Methodist Church

INTERMENT: will follow in Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday May 21, 2008 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mrs. Brock was born February 25, 1930 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of Mattie Lua Gardner Rivers and the late John Weldon Rivers. She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and retired as office manager with Chesterfield Manufacturing Co. Mrs. Brock was a lifelong member of Shiloh United Methodist Church where she was a member of the UMW, the Ladies Bible Class, and served as former Trustee, and MYF Counselor. Melba was married to the late John Henry Brock and was also preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Lou Davis.

3 Daughters: Rachel B. Jeffcoat of Chesterfield, SC, Luann B. (Rick) Sellers of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Martha Kay (Barry) Atkinson of Laurens, SC
Mother: Mattie Lua Gardner Rivers of Chesterfield, SC
10 Grandchildren: Melissa (Lance) Abernathy, Jamie (Tina) Privette, Leslie (Burt) Huggins, Lauren Clark, Dan (Amanda) Atkinson, Mandy Atkinson, Pamela D. Brock, SSgt. Jonathan A. Brock, English Brock, and Eliza Brock.
