Golwitzer, Michael Anton - Age 66, of Grand Blanc, died January 9, 2021. Private family services will be held due to Covid restrictions. For those who cannot attend a livestream of the funeral service will be available to view at 11 AM Saturday, January 16 at Michael's page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Those desiring may make contributions to the family for Veterans and Educational Organizations. Visitation will be held 4-8PM Friday, January 15 and 9-10:30AM Saturday, January 16 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. Michael was born October 14, 1954 in Flint, the son of Bernard and Dorothy (Griffith) Golwitzer. He married Vivian Ruth Jones on November 30, 1976. Michael retired from The United States Army in 1997 after 20 plus years. He was a Desert Storm Veteran. Michael graduated Memphis School of Preaching in 1980 and faithfully preached the gospel of Christ since. He was a humble servant of the Church of Christ of Genesee County. He preached in the area for over 22 years. He also served as a DAV chaplain. Michael was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. He loved people. Michael worked helping veterans through Vet Biz. He served God, Family, and Country. Michael will be missed by many whose lives he touched. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Vivian; daughter, Anna (Mentus) Okoro of Gwanju, South Korea; son, Michael Golwitzer II (fiancee Amanda) of Elizabethtown, KY; grandchildren, Michael Golwitzer III, Caleb Golwitzer, Katelynn Golwitzer, Vivienne Okoro, Clara Okoro, Henry Okoro; sister, Wanda (Norm) Baldwin; uncle, Butch Griffith; aunt, Shirley Skaggs; brother-in-law, Sammy Jones; sister-in-law, Corinthea Jones; many nieces and nephews; and also cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; 2 siblings, sister, Delores McIntosh; infant brother, Daniel Golwitzer. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
