Mikey Edward Barrett

Mr. Mikey Edward Barrett, age 71, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mr. Barrett was born August 22, 1948 in Camden, SC a son of the late Jasper and Earline Hopkins Barrett. He was a former employee of Tucker Lumber Company for over 22 years, and retired from Atkinson’s Discount Parts. Mikey enjoyed attending Twin Pines Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed music, especially playing his guitar. His hobbies included fishing, watching Swamp People and the Andy Griffith Show.

In addition to his parents, Mikey was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Barbara Blackmon Barrett.

Survivors include his daughters, Wendy (Angel) Moreno of Pageland, SC and Sonya Belk of Mt. Croghan, SC; grandchildren, Tasma Garcia, Tony Donahue, and Cody Belk; great grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob, Jazmyne, Kirsten, Jaxson, and soon to be arriving, Avery Grace; sister, Essie Mae Hayes of Jefferson, SC; brother, Johnny (Jo) Barrett of Greenwood, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
