Ruby, SC
Mrs. Misty Renee Eason, age 52, entered into rest on Saturday evening, September 14, 2024. There are no formal services planned for at this time.
Mrs. Eason was born May 2, 1972 in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of Dianne Arant Maree and the late Roger Dale Maree. After graduating high school, she earned associates degrees in bookkeeping and accounting from Northeastern Technical College in Cheraw, SC. Misty worked in various convenient stores as a customer service clerk and was well known by many whom she served through out the years. Misty loved her family dearly and was adored by them for her beautiful, yet at times, "tough love". She especially loved her grandchildren; including her “fur babies”, Scooter, Reina and Bear, whom she loved like her children.
Mrs. Eason enjoyed crafting and would often share her crafts with family and friends. By the help of her family and friends, Mrs. Misty was recently able to do some activities that she had always wanted to do, which included going to a live concert featuring the “Fleetwood Mac” group, and also attending a Atlanta Braves Game. She also was instrumental in planning her “going away celebration” which was held nearly 3 years ago, and she made sure that every detail was to her liking. She faced her years long battle with cancer with courage and determination.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Eason was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James Walter and Nellie Watts Arant.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Edward Eason of Ruby, SC; daughter Megan Neely Mendoza of Pageland, SC; sons, Kenneth Ryan Sutton (Jessica Nicole Goodman) of Mint Hill, NC., Steven Todd Funderburk (Joanna Barnett) of Dry Ridge, KY.; grandchildren, Ayden Lucas, Angelique Maree, Adela Nicole, Angel Alexander Mendoza all of Pageland, SC; Josiah James Barnett, Dezirae Julia Funderburk both of Dry Ridge, KY; brothers, Walter Lee Maree, Brandon Scott Maree both of Lancaster, SC; sisters, Jillian Dawn (Ismael) Aguilera of Lancaster, SC; sister of the heart, Cecilia Holden of Chesterfield, SC; in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; also including special friends, Sharon Strand and Connie Hancock.
