FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel

INTERMENT: will follow in the David's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery

VISITATION: is 10:00 - 11:00 AM, Saturday, prior to the service at the Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. Adams was born October 10, 1960 in Monroe, NC a son of the late William Dorsey and Louise Threadgill Adams. He was a graduate of Chesterfield High School Class of 1978. Mitch was a large market radio personality. He began his radio career at WPDZ-FM "Z-103" in Cheraw. Mitch was recruited to Myrtle Beach to work for WNMB-FM followed by WYNA-FM "Kool 104.9. He joined the staff of WMYB-FM "Star 92.1" in 2003, where he became one of the Grand Strand's dominant and most beloved radio personalities. He was the Morning Drive Personality and broadcast to locals and tourists for many years. Mitch also did live on location "remote" broadcasts and made hundreds of public service appearances throughout the Grand Strand. He was a friend to everyone in radio. Mitch used his God-given musical talent to record jingles and promos. During his career, he won awards from the South Carolina Broadcasters Association for Production and Public Service. He was a member of David's Grove Baptist Church .Mitch enjoyed playing the guitar and piano and singing.

1 Uncle: Richard Adams of Chesterfield, SC
Stepmother: Frances Adams of Bennettsville, SC
Also a number of Cousins including Barbara Lisenby and Kay Douglas, of Chesterfield, SC his caregivers.
