History: Mrs. Smith was born in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late William Thomas and Charlotte Christine Rivers Johnson. She was a 1934 graduate of Chesterfield High School and a retired seamstress with Sacony. Mrs. Smith was a faithful member of Friendship United Methodist Church. Ruth was married to the late Noel Douglas Smith, and was also preceded in death by her sister, Eva J. Parker and by three brothers, Willie, Charlie, and Walter Johnson
