Mrs. Shirley Campbell

Chesterfield, SC

Mrs. Shirley Parker Campbell, age 81, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016. A Celebration of Life Service will be 4:30 PM Sunday, October 16, 2016 at St. Paul United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Mrs. Campbell was born December 30, 1934 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Alexander Ross and Eva Johnson Parker. She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and a faithful member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Wesley Fellowship Class. Mrs. Campbell was a retired employee of Chesterfield Manufacturing. Following her retirement, she was very active in the community. She volunteered at the Chesterfield Visitors Center, served at the Chesterfield County Council on Aging, and the Chesterfield County Soup Kitchen.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Everette Dewitt Campbell; 1 sister, Roberta “Bo Bo” Huntley; 1 niece, Donna Lynn Huntley.

Survivors include her great niece, Hope Haithcock Boatwright and husband Michael of Jefferson, SC; life-long friend, Laura Hunt of Chesterfield, SC; and a special friend, William “Bill” Burr of Lumberton, NC.

The family cordially requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made in memory of Mrs. Campbell to St. Paul United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 305, Chesterfield, SC 29709
