Nancy Morgan Nelson

Mrs. Nancy Morgan Nelson, age 75, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at her home with her loving family by her side. Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM Saturday, July 6, 2019 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Mike Phares and Rev. Robert Turner with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, McFarlan, NC. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 4:00 Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nelson was born August 27, 1943 in Gold Hill, NC a daughter of the late Carr and Dora Morgan. She, along with her husband, was a life-long farmer and owner of Nelson’s Produce Stand. Nancy loved children and enjoyed working in the nursery through the years at Westfield Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard, flowers, and taking care of her animals.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nelson was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Melvin Glenn Nelson; and 1 sister, Clara Hough.

Survivors include her son, Bobby (Jennie) Nelson of Chesterfield, SC; daughters, Patricia Nelson of Cheraw, SC, and Sue Ellen (Danny) Gathings of Wadesboro, NC; special granddaughter, Sarah Beth Gathings; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Curtis (Becky) Nelson of McFarlan, NC.
