Mrs. Ola E. McLain died Monday, August 22, 2016. Funeral services will be 5:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ralph Jacobs with burial to follow in the St. John Freewill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. McLain was born December 28, 1921 in Hartsville, SC a daughter of the late Joseph and Viola Morrell Easterling. She was a graduate of Antioch High School and a member of St. John Freewill Baptist Church. She, along with her husband, were the owner and operator of McLain Grocery Store. Mrs. McLain enjoyed shopping, playing cards, working word search puzzles, and raking leaves in her yard.

In addition to her parents, Ola was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willard Bartoe McLain, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Barbara Ann (Mickey) Roscoe of Cheraw, SC; Shirley (Frank) Watts of Hartsville, SC; and Marie Chisholm of Patrick, SC. 9 grandchildren, Penny (Bill) Walton of Zurich, Switzerland; Gina (Lee) Wilkerson of Cheraw, SC; Joy (Scott) Graves of Myrtle Beach, SC; Bill (Crystal) Perdue of Hartsville, SC; Brandy (Greg) Clemmer of Matthews, NC; Bradley (Jessica) Watts of Pawley’s Island, SC; Matthew (Sarah) Watts of Florence, SC; Alicia (Ronnie) Perdue of Patrick, SC; and Kattie (Jackson) Huggins of McBee, SC. 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
