Ollie Dean Freeman Dutton

Chesterfield, SC

Mrs. Ollie Dean Freeman Dutton, age 76, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at her home. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Monday, November 27, 2023 at Friendship United Methodist Church by Pastor Charles Teal and Reverend Jerry McManus with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dutton was born June 17, 1947 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Ray Thomas “Buddy” and Aletha James Freeman. Through the years, Ollie Dean worked at Chesterfield Manufacturing, Stanton Quilting, Dan River Industries, Joe Anne Narrow Fabric, Buckboard, and Shiloh Family Steak House. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dutton enjoyed working and meeting people and was a talented seamstress. In her later years, she enjoyed time spent with her late husband working in the yards mowing grass. Throughout her life, she served as a caretaker for many people. Of all things important to Ollie Dean, spending time with her grandchildren and especially her great grands were the highlights of her life.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dutton was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Ronnie Edward Dutton; and brother, James Ray Freeman.

Survivors include her daughters, Amy (Randy) Yow, and Pam Dutton (Barry) Adams both of Chesterfield, SC; 4 grandchildren, Deanna (Chris) Yow-Dixon, Amber Yow, Erin White, and Rebecca White all of Chesterfield, SC; 4 great-grandchildren, Shaylee, Anthony “Bay”, Jordan, Gracie, and Cecilee; brother-in-law, Mitchell “Woodie” (Cynthia) Dutton of Wadesboro, NC and their children, Woodie (Celeste) Dutton, and Kelly (Tony) Horne; sisters-in-law, Juanita Dutton, Pat Dutton, and Linda Dutton; her cousin and close friend, Fritzi Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a special Thank You to caregivers, Katherine Rivers and Jenna Keith Owen for the exceptional love and care they provided.
