DECEASED: Mrs. Omogene Ballard Eargle, 83, of North Tazewell, VA, died June 3, 2011 at her home.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery
HISTORY: Mrs. Eargle was born December 3, 1927 in Chesterfield, SC, to the late Frank and Virginia Davidson Ballard and was raised from the age of five by her grandparents, the late William Jesse and Lillie Mae Davidson. She made her home in Charlotte, NC for more than 30 years before retiring in Chesterfield, where she became a substitute teacher and a long-time member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. She was a talented cook and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, M.L. Eargle, Jr.; daughter, Betty Maria Eargle; step-mother, Montie Douglas Ballard; and sisters, Vera White, Jacqueline Thrush, Laura Sheppard, and Debra Ballard.

2 Daughters: Sheila Rogers (Jerry) of Charlotte, NC, and Kathryn Mitchell (Wilbert) of North Tazewell, VA
1 Son: Mick Eargle (Renita) of Dunn, NC
2 Brothers: C.F. Ballard, Jr. of Durham, NC, and Tommy Ballard of Chesterfield, SC
4 Sisters: Lera King, Ruby Smith, Virginia King (Jack),and Martha Benenhaley all of Chesterfield, SC
8 Grandchildren: Lassity, Mickey, Thomas, Amanda, Sarah, Marissa, Noah, and A.J.
Also: a number of nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
