Mrs. Ophelia “Pete” Boatwright Simpson, age 90, entered into rest on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Funeral services will be 5:00 PM Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Patrick Presbyterian Church by Alvin Tolson with burial to follow in the Patrick Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Simpson was born November 8, 1930 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Frank Hunley and Nancy Davis Boatwright. She was a retired employee of Stanley Tools with over 30 years of experience and a member of Patrick Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Pete enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and quilting and was a long-time member of the Quilting Club of Patrick.

Mrs. Simpson was the last surviving member of her immediate family of 12 siblings. In addition to her parents and siblings, she was also preceded in death by her daughters, Linda Simpson Lewallen, and Dianne S. Chisholm; and son, Judge Van Simpson.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Jennie Simpson Parrish of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Gary (Glorian) Chisholm, Johnny (Terri) Chisholm, Dana Chisholm all of Patrick, SC, R.L. (Rebecca) Simpson of Greenville, SC, Chad Lambert, and Derek Lewallen both of Patrick, SC; numerous great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
