Patricia "Pat" Ann Roscoe Gainey

Chesterfield, SC

Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Ann Roscoe Gainey, age 83, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 17, 2024 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Reverend Randall Gainey and Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gainey was born July 4, 1941 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Gurley and Geneva Rivers Roscoe. Mrs. Pat retired from Robertson Factories after serving many years as a security guard. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and working in her flowers, but nothing brought her more joy and pride than being “Nanny” to her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gainey was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Gainey; brothers, J.L, Robert Hugh, Reece, and Billy Roscoe; sisters, Della Mae Hartwick, and Mavis Beyersdorf; son, Robert Gainey; and grandson, Robert Jesse “Jess” Gainey.

Survivors include her children, April Purvis of Chesterfield, SC, Kirby Purvis of Lexington, NC, Randall (Becky) Gainey, Jerry (Dena) Gainey, Josephine (Dean) Curtis all of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Luke Akers, Nathan Branham, Kameron Purvis, Chris Hodge, Caleb Gainey, and Faith Sellers; great grandchild, Milli Purvis; sister, Aronica (Bennie) Teal of Chesterfield, SC; sister-in-law, Frances Roscoe of Columbia, SC; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins including special cousin, Judge Edwin “Brother” Davis of Chesterfield, SC; and special friend of many years, Karen Chapman of Cheraw, SC.
